Custom Cartography

We design custom maps for print, interactive online, and GPS smartphones. The cartography we create brings exceptional public and conservation value. In addition, it will enhance safety and enable virtual exploration of your region to find recreational, natural and historic resources. Our maps are used daily by the public and our adventure customers to enjoy their experience, stay on designated routes, and respect private property owners.

Interactive Story Maps

GOC offers custom built interactive story maps that are aware of location. Enjoy virtual exploration of a region that is specific to a type of recreation and learn cultural facts. Discover a wide range of adventure opportunities available in the region. Story maps use rich multimedia content and thorough descriptions to easily navigate.
Story maps have an introduction to the area then separate tabs for the type of recreation and cultural information. Each activity has a custom built map that allows adventurers to properly plan for the activity and get the most out of their exploration.

Recreation Inventory

GOC provides thorough inventory services for recreation in the United States. We’ve worked with several federal and state agencies to accurately document the recreation and cultural resources available in the area. Our inventory specialists use state-of-the-art GPS equipment, high resolution geolocated cameras, as well as high frame rate and location aware video equipment to capture large areas. We aim to minimize impact on natural resources by using motorcycles to efficiently transport equipment to remote locations.
